You think the '69 and '70 Mustangs are exactly alike mechanically, dontcha ?
Well, you and I would both be wrong. Currently getting schooled on how the plumbing for cooling is quite different, and how I got the wrong water pump. Well, I have the right one, but it's iron. Iron is heavy, and this car does not need more weight up front.
And they don't sell the 1970 version in al-lu-mini-um.

Well you could just run without a water pump. Then when the engine dies, you have an excuse to put a scooby flat-6 in the back, and have the most Jalop mustang ever.

Could always CAD it and get one made. Not practical at all though, I'd just use OEM.

But I have three 302 blocks that need homes in engine bays

That would be fun as my friend says he needs practice in SolidWorks...
but maybe not for a 30 dollar water pump :/

How about one for a 1979 Mustang, Aluminum with the Drivers side inlet...

Eddy makes an aluminum pump for the 70 and up that looks like a match.
